Eoghan McSwiney
Eoghan McSwiney coaches the Jessup Moot Court team in the University of Bonn. He was born and raised in Cork, Ireland. He began his legal education in University College Cork where he graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Law in 2010. He then completed a Masters of Laws in University College London where he specialised in international and human rights law. His LL.M. thesis addressed the treatment of religious speech in the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights. An active participant in debating throughout school and university, Eoghan coached the Irish Schools Debating Team for three years. He also has wide ranging experience in mooting and in the teaching of public speaking. In his spare time, he enjoys keeping up to date with current affairs, watching and playing sports (particularly the Irish sports of Gaelic Football and Hurling) and his ongoing struggle to learn the German language.
