Student Researchers

Arthur Abs studies Law at the University of Bonn and is a student assistant at the "Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach chair for civil law, art and cultural property law” (Prof. Dr. Matthias Weller). From 2019 to 2020 he spent a year abroad reading for a Diploma in Legal Studies at Oxford University which he completed with Distinction. There, he focused on public international law, contract law and company law. Abs successfully participated in the "Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court 2019“ (German quarterfinals). Further, he takes part in the University’s additional English-speaking comparative law programme „FFA UNIcert® III". He is an Alumnus of the Claussen-Simon-Foundation in Hamburg. Also, he is the co-founder and first chairman of the young non-profit association „agon-Gesellschaft zur Förderung von Theater und Musik e.V.“ which is committed to the education of young people who have difficult access to culture and participation in society due to social circumstances. He received a scholarship of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.

Jordan Schmeller began his legal studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 2017 after a one-year voluntary service in Cameroon. During his studies, he successfully participated in the university’s Foreign Legal Studies Program (FFA) in English. Additionally, he took part in the university’s Honor’s Program attending extracurricular lectures on theory of science, philosophy and psychology. In 2020, he received a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and joined the project "Restatement of Restitution Rules" as a student research assistant.

Johanna Maria Beilenhoff grew up in Germany near Cologne and Madrid, Spain. In 2013, she spent an abroad semester at the United Nations School of Hanoi, Vietnam. She graduated in 2017 as best of her year. Beilenhoff began her studies of law at the University of Bonn in 2017. She is a student assistant at the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach chair for civil law, art and cultural property law (Prof. Dr. Matthias Weller) and at the juridical library of the university´s law faculty. Beilenhoff supports the research project "Restatement of Restitution Rules" in organizational matters.

Rebecca Grundmann (year 1997) finished school in 2015. Afterwards, she completed a voluntary social year at the "DRK Schwesternschaft Bonn“. She has been studying law at the "Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn" since 2016. Grundmann is a student assistant at the "Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach chair for civil law, art and cultural property law" of Prof. Dr. Matthias Weller and supports the research project "Restatement of Restitution Rules" in organizational matters.
