Doctoral Funding

Start-up Funding Program

Women remain significantly underrepresented in highly qualified legal professions. This applies to partner positions in law firms, leadership roles in business and at the higher courts, as well as in academia.

A doctoral degree improves opportunities for career advancement. With funding from the Equal Opportunities Officer at the University of Bonn, a program to provide seed funding for doctoral studies in the Department of Law is therefore being implemented again—as in previous years.
