Lecture on Ecclesiastical Law and State Church Law
The lecture on church and state church law, offered as a core course in the advanced phase of the law program, examines the relationship between state and religion.
The focus is on topics such as the fundamental principles of German state church law (secularity, neutrality, parity), the right to religious self-determination under Article 140 GG in conjunction with Article 137(3) of the WRV, and other constitutional issues such as the protection of Sundays and holidays.
