Event Recap

On October 10, 2025, a welcome event for first-semester students in the Bachelor’s program in Law and Economics was held in Lecture Hall E. We wish all first-semester students a great start to their studies!

Once again this year, the Law and Economics program was represented at the University of Bonn’s “Long Evening of Academic Advising.” On June 26, 2025, at the Poppelsdorf campus, a large number of high school seniors as well as older prospective students gathered to learn about the diverse study options at the University of Bonn. The interdisciplinary Law and Economics program was also presented and sparked interest among many prospective students. We look forward to welcoming many new faces in the winter semester.

On October 6, 2023, a welcome ceremony for the new first-semester students in the Bachelor’s program in Law and Economics was held in the large Lecture Hall D. We wish all first-semester students a great start to their studies!

On June 13, 2024, the annual Student Advising Open House took place on the Poppelsdorf campus. Once again this year, the Law and Economics program was represented and provided information about the program to many prospective high school students as well as older prospective students. We hope to welcome as many of you as possible to our program in the upcoming winter semester!

For the first time, our soccer team, the “Castle Knights”—composed of CASTLE staff members as well as current and former students from the Law and Economics program—participated in this year’s Faculty Cup. With great enthusiasm and remarkable team spirit, the players fought for every ball, a performance that was duly celebrated by our fans who had traveled to the game. At the end of the day, despite a respectable performance, it wasn’t enough to qualify for the quarterfinals; nevertheless, we are already looking forward to next year’s tournament and are excited to see how our team will continue to develop. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all participants, supporters, and organizers who made this event possible!

On October 25 and 26, 2022, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Bachelor’s program in Law and Economics. It was a great pleasure for us to welcome Prof. Dr. Alexander Stremitzer on the evening of October 25 for his keynote address on the topic of “Engineering of Commitment.” This was followed by a champagne reception attended by many former and current students, faculty members, and others associated with the program.

The 2022 graduation ceremony took place on October 28, during which 16 graduates received their bachelor’s degrees. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone and wish them all the best for the future!

On June 15, 2023, we once again participated in the “Long Evening of Academic Advising,” organized by the University of Bonn’s Central Office of Academic Advising, and provided prospective students with information about the Law and Economics program. Thanks to the nice weather, we were able to have interesting conversations and hopefully inspire many prospective students to pursue a degree in Law and Economics.
