The project ‚Restatement of Restitution Rules for Nazi-Confiscated Art’ is designed to further implement the Washington Principles of Nazi-Confiscated Art of 1998. Therefore, the genesis of the Principles is of primary relevance. In these matters, Professor James D. Bindenagel advises the project. James D. Bindenagel acted as leading diplomat for the USA at the Holocaust Era Asset Conference of 1998 and was deeply involved in the process of drafting the Washington Principles for Nazi-Confiscated Art.
