ICC Moot Court
Every year, The Hague hosts the International Criminal Moot Court. With more than 100 teams from around 50 countries participating regularly, it is the world’s largest competition in international criminal law. Since 2017, a team from Bonn, supervised by Prof. Stuckenberg in collaboration with Prof. Böse, has been participating and has achieved considerable success.
Moot Court in criminal law
At the national criminal law moot court competition, teams from various law schools across Germany compete against one another in a simulated court hearing. In this competition, the teams—each consisting of four members—assume the roles of the prosecution and the defense and prepare closing arguments on a case involving current issues in criminal law and criminal procedure.
Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court is the oldest and most internationally renowned international law competition, held annually since 1959. More than 500 universities from over 80 countries around the world participate.
Soldan Moot Court
The Soldan Moot on Legal Practice is a nationwide moot court competition open to students starting in their second semester. During the summer break, as part of a 4- to 5-member team from the University of Bonn, you will take on the roles of counsel for the parties in a German court proceeding.
Vis Moot Court
The “Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court” is the largest international competition in the field of international trade law. The number of participants increases every year, with over 280 teams from more than 65 countries taking part in recent years.
