The course provides an overview of all the essential areas of German law (civil law, criminal law, and public law) and takes into account European integration as well as the ECHR. In addition, selected topics are covered in greater depth, incorporating students’ interests and current developments. The aim is not only to convey content, but also to strengthen students’ linguistic and conceptual understanding. Furthermore, key terms are explained and students are encouraged to participate actively. The course is designed for international students, but it is also open to non-native speakers enrolled in regular programs.
