Center for European Economic Law
The Center for European Economic Law was founded in 1989 as a consortium of the Institutes for Commercial and Economic Law, Tax Law, Labor Law, and Social Security Law. The center’s goal is to coordinate research related to Europe, share findings, and establish contacts with European Union institutions, European universities, and federal ministries.
For this purpose the Center organizes a lecture series each winter semester on selected topics in European law. The speakers include both academics and professionals, and the lectures are also aimed at advanced students. In addition, during the summer semester, the Center organizes symposia on selected topics in EU law and publishes a series of papers that includes the presentations from the lecture series, contributions from the symposia, and other works.
