Nabiel Hakim

After graduating from high school, Nabiel Hakim began studying law at the University of Bonn. During his studies, he completed internships at the law firm Baden und Kollegen and at the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs in Bonn. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a student assistant at the law firm Rosner Rechtsanwalt in Cologne.

In the spring of 2024, he completed the state part of the first state law examination before the Higher Regional Court of Cologne and subsequently the university part of the state examination with a focus on economics, competition, and data law.

Since April 2023, he has been part of the team at the ZMDT and at the Chair of Civil Law, Data Economy Law, Data Protection, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence held by Prof. Dr. Specht-Riemenschneider. There, he is conducting research as part of the BMBF project “PRiME” on the characteristics of personality rights in virtual realities and the opportunities and risks of using metaverse platforms for the privacy and self-determination of users.
