Natalie Biebl
Research assistant, employee at ZMDT
After graduating from high school in 2015, Natalie Biebl completed a federal voluntary service at Sinsheim Hospital and then began training as a health care nurse. There she discovered her interest in legal matters and therefore began studying law at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in 2018. She successfully completed her first state examination in December 2023. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant at the law firm Arnecke Sibeth Dabelstein from 2018 to 2019. From 2018 to 2021, she also worked as a student assistant at the Chair of Modern Legal History, History of Canon Law, and Civil Law under Prof. Dr. David von Mayenburg. Natalie Biebl then worked as a student assistant in the technology, media, and telecommunications team at Linklaters LLP in 2021, led by partner Dr. Daniel Pauly, with a focus on data protection law. She subsequently took up a position as a student assistant at Media Kanzlei from 2022 to 2024. Since April 2024, Natalie Biebl has been a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Civil Law, Data Economy Law, Data Protection Law, Digitalization Law, and Artificial Intelligence Law under Prof. Dr. Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider. Her doctoral thesis deals with data usability in the medical field. To this end, a research collaboration was established at the end of 2024 between the Center for Medical Data Usability (ZMDT), where Ms. Biebl is now also employed, and the Asklepios Clinics in Hamburg. Ms. Biebl is responsible for leading the research on behalf of the ZMDT.
