Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and International and European Criminal Law
Globalization, population mobility, and the increasing importance of modern communication and information technologies pose new challenges for criminal law and criminal procedure law, which extend beyond the national criminal justice system in terms of their subject matter (cross-border crime) and their legal references to European and international law. Prof. Dr. Böse's chair therefore focuses on national, European, and international criminal law and criminal procedure law and their interrelationships. The academic analysis is also aimed at promoting an open exchange of ideas between academia, politics, and practice. In teaching, criminal law is taught in its entirety and systematic structure, giving students a sound and practical understanding of the core areas of German criminal law.
