Jonathan Rasbach graduated from Rhein-Wied-Gymnasium in 2023 and is currently studying law in his third semester at the University of Bonn. With a growing interest in politics and international relations, he knows that his field of choice lays within the international area of law. Furthermore, being aware of the internationalization of law in general he is eager to learn more about other countries, legal systems and foreign cultures. To follow this passion, he already participated in the complementary course “Introduction to Anglo-American Law”. Therefore, this moot court seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a first contact. He is looking forward to gaining valuable experience in the practical side of the law, as well as a first look into international criminal law and to enhance his legal English skills.

Sina Feld graduated from Schiller-Gymnasium Köln in 2022 and currently studies law in her fifth semester at the University of Bonn. While still in school, she began attending law lectures at the University of Cologne and thereby discovered her passion for criminal and international law, which grew even more during her later studies, so that since October 2023 she has been working as a student assistant at Prof. Dr. Stuckenberg’s chair. Throughout her years of working as a member of the Young Adult Jury of the German Children’s Literature Award, as a tutoress for French and English and as an editor of the Bonner Rechtsjournal she learned the importance of working in a supportive team and discovered the fun of doing so. She is looking forward to work with students who share her interests and gaining practical insights in criminal and international law.

Timur Dalman is 20 years old and graduated from the Gymnasium der Stadt Frechen in 2022. He is currently studying law in his fifth semester at the University of Bonn, where he has already completed his intermediate exam and taken complementary courses at the university such as “Introduction to Anglo-American Law”. He was born in the picturesque and rural town of Lennestadt, where he was raised bilingually. Besides being a native speaker in German and Turkish, he is fluent in English and has solid knowledge of French and Norwegian. Throughout his academic studies, his interests lie in international law, especially in its potential for fostering reconciliation between nations and peoples. He is also deeply engaged with criminal law, as well as the individual’s role within a legal machinery. During an internship at an internationally operating Law Boutique, he did not only acquire practical insights, he came to understand that, alongside technical proficiency, it is essential to also embrace openness and empathy towards others. Driven by the honour to be a member of this year’s ICC Moot team, Timur is optimistic to advance his knowledge of International criminal law and to contribute to the team’s success in the ICC Moot Court Competition.

Ada Spieß is 21 years old and currently studies Law & Economics in her fifth Bachelor semester. After her graduation from Dathe Gymnasium in Berlin in 2021, she spent three months in Dhaka for an internship at UNICEF Bangladesh. She has a keen interest in international politics, which also stems from her involvement with Model United Nations and the time that she spent living in Myanmar during her school time. The Rohingya Genocide in Myanmar drew her attention to international criminal law and she is looking forward to better understanding this field of law by taking part in the ICC Moot Court. She is also interested in environmental law and recently completed an internship at the Deutsche Umwelthilfe to learn more about climate litigation. In her free time, she is engaged in several student associations at the University of Bonn such as the Refugee Law Clinic and she works with refugees as a volunteer at the Flüchtlingshilfe Bonn. In addition, she campaigns for strong development cooperation as a ONE youth ambassador and is a seminar leader for student councils.

Jan Forsewicz is 20 years old and currently studying law in his third semester at the University of Bonn. From a young age Jan has been strongly connected to the English language, as his family lived in the United States from 2008 to 2009 and Jan visited an American Kindergarten there. Since his second semester of studies, Jan has developed a strong interest in public international law and international criminal law. Throughout an engagement as member of the board of the “Landesschüler*innenvertretung RLP” and both an athlete and coach in rowing, Jan has extensive experience working in multiple teams and on multiple projects to look back on. Jan is looking forward to supporting the ICC Moot Court 2024/2025 team and learning more about international criminal law, as well as the practical elements of law.
