Prof. Dr. Dr. Spranger has been an adjunct professor in the Department of Law at the University of Bonn since 2014 and teaches constitutional and administrative law, European law, and German and international biotechnology law, with a focus on "Regulation of Biomedicine and Genetic Engineering."

In this article, I examine a key challenge facing neurolaw: At present, it appears that international organizations and intergovernmental actors are practically competing with one another to emphasize the human rights implications of neuroscientific technologies. But in legal practice, the question arises as to what these guarantees are actually worth.
Prof. Dr. Dr. Spranger will offer a seminar on “Public Health Law” for Specialization Area X during the summer semester of 2026.
The Handbook on Cemetery and Funeral Law, edited by Prof. Spranger and Prof. Brüning, was recently published by C.H.Beck GmbH & Co. KG as part of its Law of Cities and Municipalities series. The handbook provides a comprehensive and practice-oriented overview of the cemetery and funeral industry, which is one of the most heavily regulated areas of law.
Prof. Spranger has published an article titled "Zeitenwende im Friedhofs- und Bestattungsrecht" in the current issue of the Journal Zeitschrift für Rechtspolitik (ZRP, 8/2025, pp. 259–260).
