Introduction to legal case processing / factual analysis

The introduction to legal case processing with factual analysis is a special offer for first-semester students!
Students often underestimate the importance of working precisely with and on the facts of a case. However, passing a written exam depends to a large extent on the precise and accurate analysis and processing of the facts. In this course, students will practise analysing the facts and preparing a solution sketch. How do I recognise indications of possible problems? How do I weigh up the problems I recognise and where do I place them in the solution to the exam? We will deal with these questions in detail.  A mock exam will be offered as part of the course.

In the winter semester 2023/ 2024, we can offer you a workshop on legal casework in criminal law and a workshop on legal casework in civil law. Both events will take place in presence.

The working materials will be made available in the eCampus course. You can access the eCampus course by following these instructions: Log in to ecampus with your Uni-ID. Select ‘Magazine’. Select ‘Courses’. Select the course catalogue for the current semester > select the Law degree programme > Major degree programme > Additional courses > Other courses > then select the desired workshop.
