Apprenticeship in banking with Dresdner Bank AG after the Abitur (general qualification for university entrance). Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia in 2004 with the overall-grade "high distinction". In 2005 he completed the Executive MBA-Programme specialized on Megers & Acquisitions at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster with "summa cum laude". Doctorate with Prof. Dr. Christian Hillgruber for the thesis "Ungeschriebener Parlamentsvorbehalt und akademische Selbstverwaltungsgarantie" with "summa cum laude": Thesenpapier | Disputationsvortrag. His doctoral thesis received the Konrad-Redeker-Award for the best scientific work of the academic year in the area of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Law of Legal Profession and Legal Policy. 2014 until 2016 Legal clerkship in the area of OLG Cologne.
