Applications to join the Bonn FFA programme, starting in the winter semester 2026/2027, are now open and will close on 26 July 2026.
The Subject-Specific Foreign Language Training (FFA) programme at the University of Bonn offers students the ideal opportunity to further develop and deepen their legal English language skills to a high standard.
In small learning groups and under the guidance of experienced native speakers from academia and the legal profession, the programme provides targeted preparation for the linguistic, methodological and cultural requirements of international legal practice – with the aim of obtaining the UniCert® Level III certificate, which corresponds to Level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), as well as acquiring in-depth knowledge of topics such as ‘International Commercial Law’ or ‘International Arbitration’. In addition, graduates are granted a semester’s leave of absence in accordance with Section § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 4 JAG NRW.
