Our responsibilities include:

the planning of all lectures in the Department of Law
the planning, coordination and supervision of the study groups and their tutors
the planning and coordination of the proseminars and specialisation seminars as well as the admission to the seminars via the central (pro-)seminar platform
the review of the teaching obligations of professors and research associates

The Study Group Support is available for student concerns regarding the study groups.

Registration periods winter semester 2026-27

You can register for an AG at any time during the entire registration period. The so-called “first come, first served” principle no longer applies, meaning that the time at which you register has no influence on whether you are allocated a place. Only after the registration period has ended will AG places be allocated by lottery, taking into account the priorities indicated in BASIS.

The registration period for AGs runs from September 21, 2026, to October 7, 2026, via BASIS.

The allocation of AG places will take place on October 8, 2026.

If you decide during the semester that you no longer wish to attend an AG, you can deregister from the AG yourself via BASIS at any time up until the end of the lecture period.

Study Group Support

The Study Group Support is especially responsible for all inquiries regarding the registration for study groups (Arbeitsgemeinschaften).

That's why the Study Group Support is only available during the registration period for study groups.
