The Study Group Support is available for student concerns regarding the study groups.
Registration Information Study Groups
Registration for the study groups is possible throughout the entire booking period; the “first come, first served” principle where speed plays a role is no longer used. Only after the end of the booking period will places be allocated by lottery and based on the priority assigned in BASIS. Here you will find detailed instructions and further information on registering study groups.
Registration periods summer semester 2026
The registration periods for the 2026 summer semester have ended!
If you wish to drop a study group at a later date, you may do so on your own in Basis by the end of the lecture period, July 24, 2026.
What should you do if your application is rejected?
If you have only received rejections for a study group, this is likely because you did not specify enough priorities in your registration or because demand for the study group you selected was too high. However, rest assured that you are entitled to a spot in a study group, though not necessarily to a specific time slot of your choice. Please feel free to contact study group Support!
Study Group Support
The Study Group Support is especially responsible for all inquiries regarding the registration for study groups (Arbeitsgemeinschaften).
That's why the Study Group Support is only available during the registration period for study groups.
