Criminal law, criminal procedure law, and international and European criminal law are the main areas of focus in Prof. Dr. Böse's academic work. He has held the chair of the same name at the University of Bonn since the winter semester of 2004/2005. His research and teaching focus in particular on international and European criminal law. This includes, in particular, international legal assistance in criminal matters and the corresponding cooperation instruments of the European Union (including the European arrest warrant), but also the prevention and resolution of conflicts of jurisdiction. His research interests also include issues of substantive criminal law (including economic and medical criminal law) and criminal procedure law.
