Hannah Stegmaier & Mats Visarius

Having finished the state exam in March 2025, Hannah Stegmaier currently completes her specialization in corporate and capital market law. She first discovered her passion for arbitration while participating in the 30thWillem C. Vis Moot in 2022/23. After the competition she has deepened her expertise in arbitration as a student assistant to Professor Dr. Weller at the Institute for German and International Civil Procedure Law. Even after her active participation, Hannah remained closely connected to the Vis Moot as a member of the Bonn Moot Association. She is now excited to experience the competition from a coach’s perspective and to accompany this year’s team on its journey.

Mats Visarius is currently in the final stages of completing his first state exam and has developed a strong interest in arbitration and international dispute resolution. As a member of the University of Bonn team for the 29th Willem C. Vis Moot Court, he contributed to winning the Tbilisi Pre-Moot and went on to receive an Honorable Mention for Best Individual Oralist in Vienna. After the competition, Mats gained valuable practical experience working at a major international law firm. He is now employed as a student assistant at the German Arbitration Institute (DIS), where he continues to expand his expertise in arbitration. Mats is excited to share his experience and looks forward to coaching this year’s Vis Moot team of the University of Bonn.
