Prof. Dr. René A. Pfromm, M.A. (econ), LL.M. (Harvard)

 

René Pfromm is an honorary professor at the Faculty of Law and Economics where he currently reads two classes on negotiation strategies. He has designed the Faculty’s negotiation workshops program and prepares student teams for international negotiation competitions.

He advises companies and individuals on complex and challenging negotiations, as well as law firms and individual lawyers on business case & plan, business development, pitching, pricing and fee negotiations. He also acts as a mediator for partnership disputes in professional service firms. His clients comprise leading law firms and companies in Europe and Asia.

René Pfromm combines broad practical negotiation experience as a lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Europe and China, and extensive experience in negotiation consulting, skills development and teaching. He teaches in executive education programs worldwide, is a lecturer on negotiations at various universities (e.g., Bucerius Law School, Humboldt-University Berlin, German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer) and member of the Executive Faculty and its expert on business development & profitability at the Bucerius Center on the Legal Profession.

René Pfromm is a graduate of King‘s College London (M.A. econ.), Harvard Law School (LL.M.) and the University of Bonn (Dr. iur.), and an alumnus of several negotiation programs (incl. Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania).
