Esther Hoppmann studied law at the University of Bonn and at the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. During her studies, she majored in specialisation 3 (economics and competition).

From 2019 to September 2023, Esther Hoppmann worked as a student assistant at the Law Department of the University of Bonn and in parallel as a student assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Dr. Spranger at the Centre for the Law of Life Science at the University of Bonn from April 2023 to September 2023.

Since September 2023, she has been working as a research assistant at LEITFELD in Cologne. At the same time, she has been working as a research assistant at the aforementioned chair since October 2023 and is particularly concerned with current issues in climate protection law as part of the "PRACC" (Practical Challenges of Climate Change) project.
