Professor Scheuch primarily supervises the doctorates of his staff. Those interested in a doctorate should therefore keep an eye on the relevant job advertisements/vacancies. If no positions are currently advertised, this generally means that there will be no vacancies for research assistants in the foreseeable future.

To guarantee intensive doctoral supervision, the possibility of an external doctorate is reserved for exceptional cases. In any case, proof of above-average qualifications and the submission of a detailed exposé describing the existing research gap, the method and course of the planned investigation and the timetable for the completion of the doctoral thesis are required.
