The 2015 team finished 5th out of 21 teams at the German National Rounds in Heidelberg.

Laura-Isabell Dietz graduated from Fürst-Johann-Ludwig Schule in Hadamar in 2010. After spending a year in the United States as an Au Pair, she started her law studies in 2011 in Trier. While completing a two-year FFA program, Laura gained knowledge of Anglo-American law and English legal writing. After transferring to the University of Bonn in 2013, she completed her advanced exams and started to specialize in German and International Constitutional Law. Laura currently works at the Max-Planck-Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn as an undergraduate research assistant.

Nicolas Fischer took up his studies of law at the University of Bonn in 2011 after having spent a year in South America working for a non-profit international exchange organization. Nicolas has completed internships at two German law firms and with a company promoting German foreign business in New York City. He continues working for one of the law firms as a research assistant. Nicolas’s interest in Public International Law arose during his ERASMUS studies in Spain, where he was confronted with questions regarding the organization of the international community and the protection of human rights.

Melanie Koch graduated from the Gzmnasium Siegburg Alleestraße in 2011. Before starting her law studies in 2012, she spent a year volunteering for the emergency medical services in Bonn. Alongside her studies, Melanie continues to work for the emergency services, is a board member of ELSA Bonn e.V. and is responsible for cases for the Bonn Negotiators. The Bonn Negotiators is the first student group in Germany for negotiation. Melanie won the group’s local negotiation competition in summer season 2014. She will compete in “The Negotiation Challenge” and the “Warsaw Negotiation Round” in 2015. Her English is fluent and she also has knowledge of French.

Nicole Koterzyna started studying law at the University of Bonn after graduating from the Gymnasium der Benediktiner in 2012. Last semester she began the FFA program to improve her legal English and to learn about foreign legal systems. Her interest in other countries comes from growing up surrounded by two cultures – Polish and German. Nicole was motivated to apply for the team after watching oral pleadings during her internship at a court.

Kristin Trittermann enrolled to study law at the University of Bonn after graduating from Helmholtz Gymnasium in Bonn in 2012. While a student at Helmholtz, Kristin participated in the school’s bilingual (German/English) program and also spent a year in Nacogdoches, Texas. These experiences developed her strong English language skills, which she continues to improve through participation in the University’s FFA program. Kristin also has a working knowledge of French. Kristin is a member of Bonn’s ELSA chapter and works part time at both a law firm and for the Telekom Baskets Bonn.
