Sandra Werther ist seit Januar 2025 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Völkerrecht. Sie studierte Rechtswissenschaften an den Universitäten Bonn und Sevilla. Während ihres Studiums war sie bereits als Studentische Hilfskraft am Institut für Völkerrecht tätig. Zudem nahm sie am ICC Moot Court im Völkerstrafrecht teil. Ihr erstes Staatsexamen schloss sie im Juli 2022 mit Schwerpunkt im Internationalen Recht ab. Im Anschluss arbeitete sie bei verschiedenen Kanzleien im öffentlichen Recht und bei einer NGO im Völkerstrafrecht. Zuletzt absolvierte sie bis Juli 2024 einen LL.M. im Völkerrecht an der Universität Amsterdam und war dort Mitglied der International Law Clinic.

Sandra Werther joined the Institute for Public International Law as a research assistant in January 2025. She studied law at the Universities of Bonn and Sevilla, working as a student researcher at the Institute and participating in the ICC Moot Court in international criminal law. She passed the first state examination in July 2022 with a focus on international law. Afterwards, she gained experience at several law firms specialising in public law and with an NGO in international criminal law. In July 2024, she completed an LL.M. in public international law at the University of Amsterdam and was also part of the Amsterdam International Law Clinic.
